Epitope Tag Antibodies

Epitope tag antibodies are specific antibodies that recognize and bind to short peptide sequences, proteins, or fluorescent molecules that have been genetically fused to a protein of interest. They are especially useful in detecting newly identified proteins for which direct antibodies may not yet exist, and for amplifying the signal of low-abundance proteins.

Epitope tag antibodies are highly specific and can be used for the detection, purification, and localization of the tagged protein in various biological assays. Epitope tag antibodies are widely used in assays including protein detection, protein-protein interaction studies, and protein purification. Downstream analysis using epitope tag antibodies may include Western blotting, flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation, and multiplex IF/IHC/ICC.

At Fortis Life Sciences®, we offer a range of monoclonal and polyclonal epitope tag antibodies, including His, T7, V5, VSV, Myc and GST antibodies. These antibodies may be conjugated to FITC, HRP, or Biotin to easily facilitate downstream assays.

Plasma cells produce and segregate antibodies. The antibodies mark pathogens for destruction by phagocytic cells, they coat key sites on pathogens necessary for infection, and they induce the complement cascade to react against antibody-bound pathogens.
