Rabbit anti-AKAP2 Antibody Affinity Purified

Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-363A maps to a region between residue 75 and 125 of human A kinase (PRKA) anchor protein 2 using the numbering given in entry Q9Y2D5.2 (GeneID 11217).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to AKAP2 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A301-363A-T maps to a region between residue 75 and 125 of human A kinase (PRKA) anchor protein 2 using the numbering given in entry Q9Y2D5.2 (GeneID 11217).
Additional Product Information
AKAP2 (A-kinase anchoring protein 2) was identified in a yeast two-hybrid screen as a protein that interacts with protein kinase A (PKA). AKAP2 functions to direct the subcellular localization of PKA and may also function as a link for cytoskeletal signaling complexes. Structurally, AKAP2 contains two tandem RGS domains, a PKA-binding motif, and a PDZ (PSD95/Dlg/ZO1)-binding motif.
Alternate Names
A kinase (PRKA) anchor protein 2; AKAP-2; AKAPKL; AKAP-KL; A-kinase anchor protein 2; MISP2; PRKA2; protein kinase A anchoring protein 2; protein kinase A2; Protein kinase A-anchoring protein 2
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
