Rabbit anti-CDK6 Antibody Affinity Purified

Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A304-937A maps to a region between residue 250 to 300 of human Cyclin-dependent kinase 6 using the numbering given in entry Q00534.1 (GeneID 1021).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to CDK6 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A304-937A-T maps to a region between residue 250 to 300 of human Cyclin-dependent kinase 6 using the numbering given in entry Q00534.1 (GeneID 1021).
Additional Product Information
Cell division protein kinase 6 is a Serine/threonine-protein kinase involved in the control of the cell cycle and differentiation. CDK6 interacts with D-type G1 cyclins during interphase at G1 to form a pRB/RB1 kinase and controls the entrance into the cell cycle. It is involved in initiation and maintenance of cell cycle exit during cell differentiation. Although, it prevents cell proliferation and regulates negatively cell differentiation, it is required for the proliferation of specific cell types (e.g. erythroid and hematopoietic cells). it is also essential for cell proliferation within the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus and the subventricular zone of the lateral ventricles. It may play a role in the centrosome organization during the cell cycle phases (PubMed:23918663) [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q00534].
Alternate Names
cell division protein kinase 6; cyclin-dependent kinase 6; MCPH12; PLSTIRE; serine/threonine-protein kinase PLSTIRE
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
