Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Coronin 2 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00269 maps to a region between residue 450 and 489 of human Coronin, actin binding protein, 1B using the numbering given in entry NP_065174.1 (GeneID 57175).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

Coronin 2 is an F-actin binding protein that plays an important role in processes involving actin dynamics such as fibroblast migration, and phagocytosis. Coronin 2 influences actin dynamics by promoting actin depolymerization. It has been shown to interact with the Arp2/3 complex and inhibit Arp2/3-induced actin nucleation. Additionally, it can regulate motility by regulating the actin severing and disassembling activity of cofilin.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
