Rabbit anti-GAPDH Antibody Affinity Purified

Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-639A maps to a region between residues 150 and 200 of human Glyceraldehyde-3-Phosphate Dehydrogenase using the numbering given in entry NP_002037.2 (GeneID 2597).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to GAPDH immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-639A-T maps to a region between residues 150 and 200 of human Glyceraldehyde-3-Phosphate Dehydrogenase using the numbering given in entry NP_002037.2 (GeneID 2597).
Additional Product Information
In the process of carbohydrate metabolism, GAPDH (glyceraldehydes-3-phosphate dehydrogenase) catalyzes the oxidative phosphorylation of glyceraldehydes-3-phosphate to 1,3-diphosphoglycerate in the presence of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) and inorganic phosphate. In addition to its role in the oxidation of glucose, GAPDH has been shown to be involved in other cellular processes such as vesicle transport, DNA repair, DNA replication, cytoskeletal modulation, and tRNA export.
Alternate Names
aging-associated gene 9 protein; epididymis secretory sperm binding protein Li 162eP; G3PD; GAPD; GAPDH; glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase; HEL-S-162eP; OCAS, p38 component; Oct1 coactivator in S phase, 38 Kd component; peptidyl-cysteine S-nitrosylase GAPDH
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
