Rabbit anti-GARS Antibody Affinity Purified

Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A304-746A maps to a region between residue 689 to 739 of human Glycyl-Trna Synthetase using the numbering given in entry NP_002038.2 (GeneID 2617).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to GARS immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A304-746A-T maps to a region between residue 689 to 739 of human Glycyl-Trna Synthetase using the numbering given in entry NP_002038.2 (GeneID 2617).
Additional Product Information
Glycyl-tRNA synthetase (GARS) catalyzes the attachment of glycine to tRNA(Gly). It is also able produce diadenosine tetraphosphate (Ap4A), a universal pleiotropic signaling molecule needed for cell regulation pathways, by direct condensation of 2 ATPs [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P41250].
Alternate Names
AP-4-A synthetase; Charcot-Marie-Tooth neuropathy 2D; Charcot-Marie-Tooth neuropathy, neuronal type, D; CMT2D; diadenosine tetraphosphate synthetase; DSMAV; glycine--tRNA ligase; Glycyl-tRNA synthetase; GlyRS; HMN5; SMAD1
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
