Additional Product Information

Mitofilin is a component of the MICOS complex, a large protein complex of the mitochondrial inner membrane that plays crucial roles in the maintenance of crista junctions, inner membrane architecture, and formation of contact sites to the outer membrane. Mitofilin plays an important role in the maintenance of the MICOS complex stability and the mitochondrial cristae morphology [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 10989)].

IMMT
inner membrane mitochondrial protein
Q16891
MICOS complex subunit MIC60

Alternate Names

cell proliferation-inducing gene 4/52 protein; cell proliferation-inducing protein 52; heart muscle protein; HMP; Mic60; MICOS complex subunit MIC60; MINOS2; mitochondrial inner membrane organizing system 2; mitochondrial inner membrane protein; mitofilin; motor protein; P87; P87/89; P89; PIG4; PIG52; proliferation-inducing gene 4

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
