Rabbit anti-KIF14 Antibody Affinity Purified

Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-912A maps to a region between residue 1600 and the C-terminus (residue 1648) of human Kinesin Family Member 14 using the numbering given in entry NP_055690.1 (GeneID 9928).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to KIF14 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-912A-T maps to a region between residue 1600 and the C-terminus (residue 1648) of human Kinesin Family Member 14 using the numbering given in entry NP_055690.1 (GeneID 9928).
Additional Product Information
The kinesin superfamily of proteins consists of over forty KIF motor proteins that function in intracellular transport along microtubules. Kinesin activity has been linked to various cellular functions such as vesicle transport, mitotic spindle formation, chromosome segregation, and cytokinesis. Structurally, all kinesins contain a motor domain with microtubule and nucleotide binding sites that utilize ATP to target cargo along microtubule filaments. KIF14 silencing experiments suggest that KIF14 plays a multi-functional role in mitosis and cytokinesis. KIF14 has also been identified as a candidate oncogene whose overexpression may lead to genomic instability and act as a reporter of poor-prognosis in breast cancer.
Alternate Names
epididymis secretory sperm binding protein; kinesin-like protein KIF14; MCPH20; MKS12
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
