Additional Product Information
PCNA associated factor (PAF) is a PCNA-binding protein that acts as a regulator of DNA repair during DNA replication. Following DNA damage, the interaction with PCNA is disrupted, facilitating the interaction between monoubiquitinated PCNA and the translesion DNA synthesis DNA polymerase eta (POLH) at stalled replisomes, facilitating the bypass of replication-fork-blocking lesions [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q15004].
Alternate Names
HCV NS5A-transactivated protein 9; hepatitis C virus NS5A-transactivated protein 9; KIAA0101; L5; NS5ATP9; OEATC; OEATC1; OEATC-1; of 15 kDa; overexpressed in anaplastic thyroid carcinoma 1; p15(PAF); p15/PAF; p15PAF; PAF; PAF15; PCNA-associated factor; PCNA-associated factor of 15 kDa; PCNA-clamp-associated factor
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
