Rabbit anti-Plakoglobin Antibody Affinity Purified

Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A303-717A maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human Junction Plakoglobin using the numbering given in entry NP_002221.1 (GeneID 3728).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Plakoglobin immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A303-717A-T maps to a region between residue 1 and 50 of human Junction Plakoglobin using the numbering given in entry NP_002221.1 (GeneID 3728).
Additional Product Information
Plakoglobin (gamma-catenin) is a member of the catenin family of proteins. It bears an armadillo repeat motif and plays a role in cell signaling; but unlike beta-catenenin, which plays a major role in the Wnt signaling pathway, plakoglobin is thought to act as a tumor/metastasis suppressor. Plakoglobin also functions as a junctional plaque protein and forms complexes with cadherins and desmosomal cadherins.
Alternate Names
catenin (cadherin-associated protein), gamma 80kDa; Catenin gamma; CTNNG; desmoplakin III; desmoplakin-3; DP3; DPIII; junction plakoglobin; PDGB; PKGB
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
