The epitope recognized by IHC-00491-T maps to a region between residue 500 and 550 of human splicing factor, arginine/serine-rich 8 using the numbering given in entry NP_004583.2 (GeneID 6433).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to SFRS8/SWAP immobilized on solid support.

SFRS8 is the human homolog of the drosophila splicing regulatory protein SWAP (suppressor of white apricot). SFRS2IP contains an arginine-serine-rich (RS) domain and has been shown to regulate the splicing of itself as well as fibronectin and CD45.
