Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to SFRS8/SWAP immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00491-T maps to a region between residue 500 and 550 of human splicing factor, arginine/serine-rich 8 using the numbering given in entry NP_004583.2 (GeneID 6433).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

SFRS8 is the human homolog of the drosophila splicing regulatory protein SWAP (suppressor of white apricot). SFRS2IP contains an arginine-serine-rich (RS) domain and has been shown to regulate the splicing of itself as well as fibronectin and CD45.

Alternate Names

SFRS8; splicing factor SWAP homolog; Splicing factor, arginine/serine-rich 8; splicing factor, arginine/serine-rich 8 (suppressor-of-white-apricot homolog, Drosophila); splicing factor, arginine/serine-rich 8 (suppressor-of-white-apricot, Drosophila homolog); splicing factor, suppressor of white-apricot family; splicing factor, suppressor of white-apricot homolog; suppressor of white apricot protein homolog; SWAP

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate pH6.0 or tris-EDTA pH9.0 buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
