Rabbit anti-UBAP1/NAG20 Antibody Affinity Purified

Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A304-848A-T maps to a region between residue 25 to 75 of human Ubiquitin-associated protein 1 using the numbering given in entry Q9NZ09.1 (GeneID 51271).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to UBAP1/NAG20 immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
Ubiquitin-associated protein 1 (UBAP1) is a component of the ESCRT-I complex, a regulator of vesicular trafficking process. It binds to ubiquitinated cargo proteins and is required for the sorting of endocytic ubiquitinated cargos into multivesicular bodies (MVBs). It plays a role in the proteasomal degradation of ubiquitinated cell-surface proteins, such as EGFR and BST2 [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9NZ09].
Alternate Names
NAG20; nasopharyngeal carcinoma-associated gene 20 protein; UAP; UBAP; UBAP-1; ubiquitin-associated protein 1
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
