Rabbit anti-UBQLN2 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A305-371A-T maps to a region between residue 500 to 550 of human Ubiquilin-2 using the numbering given in entry Q9UHD9.2 (GeneID 29978).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to UBQLN2 immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
Ubiquilin-2 (UBXLN2) is a ubiquitin-like protein (ubiquilin) that shares high degree of similarity with related products in yeast, rat and frog. Ubiquilins contain a N-terminal ubiquitin-like domain and a C-terminal ubiquitin-associated domain. They physically associate with both proteasomes and ubiquitin ligases; and thus, are thought to functionally link the ubiquitination machinery to the proteasome to affect in vivo protein degradation. This ubiquilin has also been shown to bind the ATPase domain of the Hsp70-like Stch protein [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 29978)].

Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
