Product Description

The SWI/SNF-related, matrix-associated, actin-dependent regulators of chromatin (SMARC), also called BRG1-associated factors (BAFs), have been identified as components of the human SWI/SNF-like chromatin-remodeling protein complexes. SMARCC1/BAF155 is part of the BAF complex that associates with SMARCA2/Brm and SMARCA4/Brg. The mouse homolog is Srg3 and has been found to be required for embryogenesis and brain development.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to SMARCC1/BAF155 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A301-021A maps to a region between residue 1055 and the C-terminus (residue 1105) of human SWI/SNF related, matrix associated, actin dependent regulator of chromatin, subfamily c, member 1/BRG1-associated factor 155 using the numbering given in entry NP_003065.2 (GeneID 6599).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (A120-101P).

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using an anti-Rabbit IgG Light Chain HRP-conjugated antibody with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.

Immunoprecipitation (IP)6 µg/mg lysate
