Product Description

CDK11 is a member of the p34Cdc2 protein kinase family and is involved in cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and tumorigenesis. Many isoforms of CDK11 have been isolated. The p58 isoform has been shown to interact with cyclin D3 and to play an important role in G2/M phase progression. The p110 isoforms have been demonstrated to interact with the RNA-binding proteins RNPS1, RNA polymerase II, and many elongation factors, indicating a role in RNA metabolism in proliferating cells.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to CDK11 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00035 maps to a region between residue 730 and the C-terminus (residue 780) of human Cell Division Cycle 2-like 2 using the numbering given in SwissProt entry Q9UQ88 (GeneID 728642). The epitope that is recognized by IHC-00035 is also found in CDC1L1 (Gene ID 984).

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
