Product Description

H2AX is a member of the histone H2A family. The four core histones involved in the formation of the nucleosome structure of compacted chromatin are H2A, H2B, H3, and H4. H2AX may function to facilitate DNA repair, and recent studies have shown that H2AX is required for the maintenance of genomic stability.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to gamma-H2AX immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recongized by IHC-00059 maps to a region surrounding phosphorylated serine 139 of human histone H2AX using the numbering given for Swiss-Prot entry P16104 (GeneID 3014).

Applications

Formalin-Fixed Paraffin-Embedded Tissue 1:100 - 1:500:

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Formaldehyde-Fixed Cells 1:100 - 1:500.

Immunocytochemistry (ICC)1:100 to 1:500. Epitope retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for FFPE tissue sections.
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 to 1:500. Epitope retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for FFPE tissue sections.
