Product Description

CENP-B is a centromeric protein that specifically binds the CENP-B box, a 17-base pair DNA sequence found in a subset of alpha-satellite DNA repeats. CENP-B associates with CENP-A and CENP-C in centromere specific nucleosomes to form the pre-kinetochore. CENP-B auto-Antibodies have been identified in sera from patients with autoimmune diseases.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to CENP-B immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00064 maps to a region between residues 540 and the C-terminus (residue 599) of human Centromere Protein B using the numbering given in entry SwissProt entry P07199 (GeneID 1059).

Applications

Formaldehyde-Fixed Cells 1:100 - 1:500:

Permeabilization with Triton-X 100 is recommended.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.

Immunocytochemistry-Immunofluoresence (ICC-IF)1:100 - 1:500
