Product Description

UTP18/WDR50 is a component of the small-subunit (SSU) processome, a large ribonucleoprotein complex that participates in ribosomal RNA processing and ribosome assembly. UTP18/WDR50 is a member of the WD repeat family. The WD repeat is defined by four or more repeating units of a conserved core of approximately 40 amino acids ending with tryptophan-aspartic acid (WD). WD repeats may serve as sites of protein-protein interaction for adaptor proteins and facilitate multiprotein complex formation.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to UTP18/WDR50 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A301-551A maps to a region between residue 75 and 125 of human small subunit (SSU) processome component UTP18 (WD repeat domain 50) using the numbering given in entry NP_057085.2 (GeneID 51096).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (A120-101P).

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using an anti-Rabbit IgG Light Chain HRP-conjugated antibody with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.

Immunoprecipitation (IP)6 µg/mg lysate
