P115-RhoGEF plays a role in the regulation of RhoA GTPase by guanine nucleotide-binding alpha-12 (GNA12) and alpha-13 (GNA13) subunits. P115-RhoGEF acts as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for GNA12 and GNA13, and as guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for RhoA GTPase. The gene name for p115-RhoGEF is ARHGEF1 [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q92888].

Production & Epitope
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to p115-RhoGEF immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A302-702A maps to a region between residue 775 and 825 of human 115 kDa Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor using the numbering given in entry NP_004697.2 (GeneID 9138).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using an anti-Rabbit IgG Light Chain HRP-conjugated antibody with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
