Product Description

Splicing factor 1 (SF1) is a nuclear pre-mRNA splicing factor. SF1 specifically recognizes the intron branch point sequence and is required for the early stages of spliceosome assembly [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 7536)].

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to SF1 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A303-214A maps to a region between residue 225 and 275 of human Splicing Factor 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_004621.2 (GeneID 7536).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using an anti-Rabbit IgG Light Chain HRP-conjugated antibody with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.

Immunoprecipitation (IP)6 µg/mg lysate
