Product Description
Ribosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Together these subunits are composed of 4 RNA species and approximately 80 structurally distinct proteins. RPL4 is a ribosomal component of the 60S subunit. The protein belongs to the L4E family of ribosomal proteins. It is located in the cytoplasm [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 6124)].

Production & Epitope
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to RPL4/Ribosomal Protein L4 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A305-046A maps to a region between residue 377 to 427 of human 60S ribosomal protein L4 using the numbering given in entry P36578.5 (GeneID 6124).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (A120-101P).
