Product Description
The protein GTPase Era, mitochondrial, is encoded by the gene ERAL1. GTPase Era binds to the 3' terminal stem loop of 12S mitochondrial rRNA and is required for proper assembly of the 28S small mitochondrial ribosomal subunit. Deletion of this gene has been shown to cause mitochondrial dysfunction, growth retardation, and apoptosis [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 26284)].

Production & Epitope
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to ERAL1 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A305-092A maps to a region between residue 75 to 125 of human GTPase Era, mitochondrial using the numbering given in entry O75616.2 (GeneID 26284).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (A120-101P).
