Product Description

Abraxas was identified in a phosphopeptide affinity proteomic and mass spec analysis as a protein that bound directly to the BRCA1 BRCT repeat. Along with RAP80, Abraxas was required to form a complex with BRCA1 for the DNA damage response.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Abraxas immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00630 maps to a region between residue 400 and 409 of human Abraxas (coiled-coil domain containing 98) using the numbering given in entry NP_620775.2 (GeneID 84142).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
