Additional Product Information

ADAM9 a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family. Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins, and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. ADAM9 interacts with SH3 domain-containing proteins, binds mitotic arrest deficient 2 beta protein, and is also involved in TPA-induced ectodomain shedding of membrane-anchored heparin-binding EGF-like growth factor [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 8754)].

Alternate Names

ADAM 9; ADAM metallopeptidase domain 9 (meltrin gamma); cellular disintegrin-related protein; cone rod dystrophy 9; CORD9; disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain-containing protein 9; MCMP; MDC9; Meltrin-gamma; metalloprotease/disintegrin/cysteine-rich protein 9; Mltng; myeloma cell metalloproteinase

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
