Product Description

ARA70 (androgen receptor-associated 70) was originally identified as part of chromosomal rearrangement involving the RET proto-oncogene. It was subsequently isolated in a two-hybrid screen as a ligand-dependent associated factor of the androgen receptor (AR). In addition to functioning as a co-activator of the AR, ARA70 has been found to function as a co-activator of the vitamin D receptor, estrogen receptor, PPARalpha, and PPARgamma.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to ARA70 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00649 maps to a region between residue 500 and 550 of human 70 kDa AR-activator (nuclear receptor coactivator 4) using the numbering given in entry NP_005428.1 (GeneID 8031).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
