Product Description

The gene for ARHGEF16 [Rho guanine exchange factor (GEF)16] was isolated as a candidate gene for human neuroblastoma. It is a member of the Rho/Rac GEF family of proteins which catalyze the exchange of GDP for GTP on the GTPases, Rho and Rac, to activate downstream signaling pathways.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to ARHGEF16 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00582 maps to a region between residue 175 and 225 of human Rho guanine exchange factor (GEF) 16 using the numbering given in entry NP_055263.2 (GeneID 27237).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer or tris-EDTA pH9.0 buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
