Product Description

Actin-related protein 2/3 complex subunit 4 (ARPC4) functions as actin-binding component of the Arp2/3 complex which is involved in regulation of actin polymerization and together with an activating nucleation-promoting factor (NPF) mediates the formation of branched actin networks. ARPC4 seems to contact the mother actin filament [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P59998].

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to ARPC4 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A305-385A maps to a region between residue 118 to 168 of human using the numbering given in entry P59998.3 (GeneID 10093).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using an anti-Rabbit IgG Light Chain HRP-conjugated antibody with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.

Immunoprecipitation (IP)6 µg/mg lysate
