Production Procedures

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to ASH2 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A300-489A maps to a region between residue 575 and the C-terminus (residue 628) of human Absent, Small, or Homeotic-Like 2 using the numbering given in Swiss-Prot entry Q9UBL3 (GeneID 9070).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Country of Origin

USA

Additional Product Information

ASH2 (absent, small, or homeotic discs 2) is a subunit of a human Set1-like histone methyltransferase (HMT) complex. The Set-1 like complexes are responsible for mono-, di-, and tri-methylation of histone H3 K4. ASH2 associates with a multitude of proteins in a number of Set1-like complexes which include various combinations of MLL, MLL2, MLL3, MLL4, RBBP5,WDR5, hDPY-30, hSwd2, CXXC1, HCF1, Menin, PTIP, PA1, NCOA6, and UTX.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
