Rabbit anti-Bcl-xL Antibody Affinity Purified

Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A300-284A maps to a region between residues 1 and 50 of human BCL2-like 1 using the numbering given in SwissProt entry Q07817 (GeneID 598).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to Bcl-xL immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-284A-T maps to a region between residues 1 and 50 of human BCL2-like 1 using the numbering given in SwissProt entry Q07817 (GeneID 598).
Additional Product Information
Bcl-xL is part of the BCL-2 family of proteins that regulates apoptosis and cell cycle control. Bcl-xL is the protein product of the larger alternatively spliced isoform of Bcl-x. Bcl-xL functions similarly to BCL2 in promoting cell survival and inhibiting proliferation by promoting G0 arrest. Bcl-xL is located in the outer mitochondrial membrane and promotes cell survival by preventing mitochondrial release of cytochrome c and caspase activation in response to apoptotic signals.
Alternate Names
apoptosis regulator Bcl-X; BCL2L; Bcl2-L-1; bcl-2-like protein 1; BCLX; Bcl-X; BCL-XL/S; PPP1R52; protein phosphatase 1, regulatory subunit 52
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
