Product Description

B-Raf proto-oncogene serine/threonine-protein kinase (BRAF) is a member of the raf/mil family of serine/threonine kinases. BRAF is involved in transducing mitogenic signals via the MAP kinase/ERKs signaling pathway. Mutations in BRAF are involved in a wide range of cancers such as lung, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and colorectal cancer. Defects in BRAF are also the cause of cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome (CFC), an autosomal dominant syndrome characterized by facial anomalies, heart defects, and ectodermal abnormalities.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to BRAF immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00607 maps to a region between residue 25 and 75 of human v-raf murine sarcoma viral oncogene homolog B1 using the numbering given in entry NP_004324.2 (GeneID 673).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
