Recombinant antibody was purified from cell culture supernatant.

Immunogen was a peptide representing a region between residue 676 and 726 of human Bromodomain-containing protein 3 using the numbering given in entry NP_031397.1 (Gene ID 8019).

BRD3 (bromodomain containing 3) is a double bromo-domain containing protein. It has been shown to associate with hyperacetylated chromatin of transcribed genes. From this finding it is suggested that BRD3 plays a role in RNA polymerase II transcription through nucleosomes. A chromosomal translocation resulting in a fusion protein involving BRD3 and NUT has been associated with a rare and lethal carcinoma. Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
