Product Description
BRD8 (bromodomain-containing 8) has been identified as a thyroid hormone receptor coactivator as well as a GTPase activating protein (GAP) for Arf6 that regulates clathrin-dependent vesicle trafficking. BRD8 has also been identified as a gene upregulated during formation of the neointima layer of blood vessels and named smooth muscle activating protein 2 (SMAP2).

Production & Epitope
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to BRD2 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by IHC-00020 maps to a region between residue 200 and 250 of human Bromodomain containing 8 using the numbering given in TrEMBL entry Q969M9 (GeneID 10902).
Applications
Epitope exposure is recommended.
