Product Description

Ca2+/CaM-dependent protein kinase 4 (CamK4) is a member of the Ca2+/CaM-dependent protein kinases that functions as an activator of Ca2+-dependent transcription mediated by factors such as CREB, ATF-1, SRF, MEF2D, and others. Protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) has been shown to associate with CamK4 to negatively regulate the kinase activity of CamK4 and subsequent activation of gene transcription.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to CamK4 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00042 maps to a region between residue 425 and the C-terminus (residue 473) of human Calcium/Calmodulin-dependent Protein Kinase IV using the numbering given in Swiss-Prot entry Q16566 (GeneID 814).

Applications

Epitope exposure is NOT recommended.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
