Product Description

CAP-H2 (chromosome-associated protein H2) is 1 of 3 non-SMC subunits that define the condensin II complex. Condensin II along with the condensin I plays a critical role in mitotic chromosome assembly and segregation.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to CAP-H2 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00644 maps to a region between residue 425 and 475 of human chromosome-associated protein H2 using the numbering given in entry NP_689512.2 (GeneID 29781).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
