Additional Product Information

CREB (cyclic AMP response element-binding protein) is a ubiquitously expressed transcription factor that binds cAMP response elements to regulate gene transcription for various cellular responses such as glucose homeostasis, growth-factor dependent survival, and proliferation. CREB is also implicated to play a role in memory and mood.

Alternate Names

active transcription factor CREB; cAMP-response element-binding protein-1; cAMP-responsive element-binding protein 1; CREB; CREB-1; cyclic adenosine 3',5'-monophosphate response element binding protein; cyclic adenosine 3',5'-monophosphate response element-binding protein CREB; cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 1; transactivator protein

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
