Additional Product Information

CRSP7 (cofactor required for Sp1 transcriptional activation, subunit 7) is a subunit of the CRSP (cofactor required for SP1 activation) complex, which, along with TFIID, is required for efficient activation by SP1. This protein is also a component of other multisubunit complexes such as thyroid hormone receptor-(TR-) associated protein (TRAP) and mediator complexes. CRSP7 is also known as MED26 (mediator complex subunit 26 [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (GeneID: 9441)].

Mediator of RNA polymerase II transcription subunit 26

Alternate Names

activator-recruited cofactor 70 kDa component; ARC70; cofactor required for Sp1 transcriptional activation subunit 7; cofactor required for Sp1 transcriptional activation, subunit 7 (70kD); cofactor required for Sp1 transcriptional activation, subunit 7, 70kDa; CRSP complex subunit 7; CRSP7; CRSP70; Mediator complex subunit 26; mediator of RNA polymerase II transcription subunit 26; transcriptional coactivator CRSP70

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
