Product Description

GRWD1/WDR28 contains five WD repeats and is a member of the WD family of proteins. The WD repeat is defined by four or more repeating units of a conserved core of approximately 40 amino acids ending with tryptophan-aspartic acid (WD). WD repeats may serve as sites of protein-protein interaction for adaptor proteins and facilitate multiprotein complex formation. WD proteins are involved in a variety of cellular processes. GRWD1/WDR28 is proposed to play a role in ribosome biogenesis.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to GRWD1/WDR28 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A301-577A maps to a region between residue 350 and 400 of human glutamate-rich WD repeat containing 1 (WD repeat domain 28) using the numbering given in entry NP_113673.2 (GeneID 83743).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (A120-101P).

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using an anti-Rabbit IgG Light Chain HRP-conjugated antibody with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
