Product Description

Histone deacetylase 2 (HDAC2) is a class I histone deacetylase that catalyzes the removal of the acetyl group on lysine residues of the N-terminus of the core histones H2A, H2B, H3, and H4. HDAC2 is a component of multiple deacetylating complexes such as Sin3, NuRD, and CoRest that function to repress gene transcription.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to HDAC2 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00057 maps to a region between residue 425 and the C-terminus (residue 488) of human Histone Deacetylase 2 using the numbering given in entry NP_001518.1 (GeneID 3066).

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
Immunohistochemistry-Immunofluoresence (IHC-IF)1:50 - 1:500
