Product Description

Histone deacetylase 3 (HDAC3) is a class I histone deacetylase that catalyzes the removal of the acetyl group on lysine residues of the N-terminus of the core histones H2A, H2B, H3, and H4. HDAC3 is found in multi-protein complexes and its activity depends on its interaction with the co-repressors SMRT and N-CoR.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to HDAC3 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00428 maps to a region between residue 375 and the C-terminus (residue 428) of human Histone Deacetylase 3 using the numbering given in Swiss-Prot entry O15379 (GeneID 8841).

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with tris-EDTA pH9.0 buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
