Production Procedures

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to HDAC7 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A301-385A maps to a region between residue 902 and 952 of human histone deacetylase 7A using the numbering given in entry NP_056216.1 (GeneID 51564).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

Histone deacetylase 7 (HDAC7) is a class II histone deacetylase that catalyzes the removal of acetyl groups from core histone octamer subunits. HDAC7 appears to have an influence on cellular processes by acting as a transcriptional repressor. HDAC7 is highly expressed in double positive thymocytes and may play an important role in T-cell development. Recently, HDAC7 has also been reported to influence endothelial cell migration and modulate angiogenesis.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
