Product Description

Insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding protein 2 (IGF2BP2) binds to the 5'-UTR of the insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF2) mRNAs. Binding is isoform-specific and may regulate translation of target mRNAs [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ Q9Y6M1].

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to IGF2BP2 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A303-316A maps to a region between residue 150 and 200 of human Insulin-Like Growth Factor 2 mRNA Binding Protein 2 using the numbering given in entry NP_006539.3 (GeneID 10644).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using an anti-Rabbit IgG Light Chain HRP-conjugated antibody with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:500 - 1:2000. Epitope retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for FFPE tissue sections.
Immunoprecipitation (IP)6 µg/mg lysate
