Additional Product Information

Neurofilaments are type IV intermediate filament heteropolymers composed of light, medium, and heavy chains. Neurofilaments comprise the axoskeleton and they functionally maintain the neuronal caliber. They may also play a role in intracellular transport to axons and dendrites.INA is a member of the intermediate filament family and is involved in the morphogenesis of neurons [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 9118)].

Alpha-internexin

Alternate Names

66 kDa neurofilament protein; alpha-internexin; alpha-Inx; NEF5; Neurofilament 5; neurofilament 5 (66kD); Neurofilament-66; neurofilament-66, tax-binding protein; NF-66; TXBP-1

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.

Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).

Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
