Production Procedures
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to IRS2 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00356 maps to a region between residue 1288 and 1338 of human insulin receptor substrate 2 using the numbering given in entry NP_003740.2 (GeneID 8660).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Additional Product Information

IRS2 (insulin receptor substrate 2) functions as a cytoplasmic link and transducer of insulin receptor (IR) and insulin-like growth factor receptor (IGFR) signaling. As the name implies, IRS2 is a substrate of IR and IGFR tyrosine kinase activity activated by insulin and IGF binding.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.
