Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to KIAA0528 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by A301-469A maps to a region between residue 375 and 425 of human KIAA0528 using the numbering given in entry NP_055617.1 (GeneID 9847).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

KIAA0528 is a protein that was first identified in the in silico analysis of long cDNAs isolated in the Kazusa cDNA sequencing project. The function of KIAA0528 has not been characterized. By similarity KO528 contains a C2 domain, a domain that is found in proteins that bind phospholipids. The C2 domain is also present in a family of proteins involved in synaptic vesicle trafficking; thus, the function of KIAA0528 is predicted to be involved in intracellular transport.

Applications

All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
