Product Description

MASTL (microtubule-associated serine/threonine-protein kinase-like) is an uncharacterized putative serine/threonine kinase which may be involved in megakaryocyte development. Defects in MASTL are the cause of thrombocytopenia type 2 (THC2) a disease characterized by decreased circulating platelets and increased potential for bleeding.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to MASTL immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00638 maps to a region between residue 550 and 600 of human microtubule associated serine/threonine kinase-like using the numbering given in entry NP_116233.2 (GeneID 84930).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
