Product Description

MKL1 (megakaryoblastic leukemia 1 protein) was identified as part of a t(1;22) translocation with RBM15 associated with acute megakaryoblastic leukemia. It is a transcriptional coactivator of serum response factor (SRF) that promotes muscle differentiation and also plays a role in promoting maturation of megakaryocytes.

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to MKL1 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00637 maps to a region between residue 700 and 750 of human megakaryoblastic leukemia (translocation) 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_065882.1 (GeneID 57591).

Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
