Product Description
MST2/STK3 is a member of the sterile 20 (Ste20)-like kinase family that acts upstream of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathways and regulates c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK), p38 and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK). Ste20-like kinases are involved in a variety of cellular processes which include gene transcription, stress responses, cytoskeletal organization and apoptosis. In response to apoptotic signals, MST2/STK3 is cleaved by caspase-3 and mediates apoptosis.

Production & Epitope
Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to MST1 and MST2 immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A300-468A maps to the C-terminus of human Mammalian Sterile 20-like 2 (Serine/Threonine Kinase 3) using the numbering given in Swiss Prot entry Q13188 (GeneID 6788). The epitope is highly conserved with MST1(STK4). Consequently, A300-468A also recognizes this homolog.
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4.
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using an anti-Rabbit IgG Light Chain HRP-conjugated antibody with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:500 - 1:2000. Epitope retrieval with Tris-EDTA pH 9.0 is recommended for FFPE tissue sections.
