Rabbit anti-OCT1 Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A301-716A-T maps to a region between residue 250 and 300 of human octamer-binding transcription factor 1 using the numbering given in entry NP_002688.2 (GeneID 5451).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to OCT1 immobilized on solid support.

Additional Product Information
OCT1 is a transcription factor that binds the octamer motif 5’-ATTTGCAT-3’ in promoters of various genes. OCT1 contains one homeobox DNA binding domain and is part of the POU transcription factor family due to the presence of one POU domain, a highly charged motif that selectively binds the octamer motif.
Alternate Names
NF-A1; OCT1; oct-1; oct-1B; octamer-binding protein 1; octamer-binding transcription factor 1; Octamer-binding transcription factor-1; OTF1; OTF-1; POU class 2 homeobox 1 isoform Oct-1R; POU domain, class 2, transcription factor 1
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
