Product Description

By sequence similarity p300 is related to CBP (CREB-binding protein) and functions as a histone acetyltransferase that can regulate transcription by influencing chromatin organization. P300 has been demonstrated to bind to phosphorylated CREB to mediate cAMP-gene regulation. P300 has also been identified as a co-activator of HIF1A (hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha).

Production & Epitope

Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to p300 immobilized on solid support.

The epitope recognized by IHC-00028 maps to a region between residue 950 and 1000 of human 1A-associated protein p300 using the numbering given in entry NP_001420.2 (GeneID 2033).

Applications

Epitope exposure is recommended.

Epitope exposure with citrate buffer will enhance staining.

Likely to work with frozen sections.

In some cases, the antibody may be diluted further than indicated.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC)1:100 - 1:500
