Rabbit anti-p66alpha Antibody Affinity Purified
Product Details
Specifications
The epitope recognized by A302-358A maps to a region between residue 573 and 633 of human p66alpha using the numbering given in entry AAO31797.1 (GeneID 54815).
Immunoglobulin concentration was determined using Beer’s Law where 1mg/mL IgG has an A280 of 1.4. Antibody was affinity purified using an epitope specific to p66alpha immobilized on solid support.
The epitope recognized by A302-358A-T maps to a region between residue 573 and 633 of human p66alpha using the numbering given in entry AAO31797.1 (GeneID 54815).
Additional Product Information
p66alpha and p66beta are human orthologs of the xenopus p66 subunit of the Mi-2/NuRD complex. The Mi-2/NuRD complex is a multi-subunit complex that mediates gene repression via processes involving chromatin remodeling and histone deacetylation. p66 alpha and beta were identified in a two-hybrid screen using the methyl-CpG-binding domain protein, MBD2, as bait. It has been demonstrated that p66alpha and p66beta mediate the interaction between MBD2 and histones.
Alternate Names
GATA zinc finger domain-containing protein 2A; Hp66alpha; p66alpha; transcriptional repressor p66-alpha
Applications
All western blot analysis is performed using 5% Milk-TBST for blocking and as antibody diluent. Primary antibody is incubated overnight.
Western blots of cell lysates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Heavy and Light Chain Antibody (Cat. No. A120-101P).
Western blots of immunoprecipitates are performed using Goat anti-Rabbit Light Chain HRP Conjugate (Cat. No. A120-113P) with 5% Normal Pig Serum (Cat. No. S100-020) added to the blocking buffer.
